Build a clearer spare-parts enquiry for your pump fleet

A simple way to separate pump identification, service requirements and requested quantities.

Create one line for each pump configuration

For multiple pumps, begin with the full model and item number of each distinct configuration. Add your own asset reference or installation location so the same pump can be identified later. Do not combine units just because they have the same nominal port size. Keep uncertain or unreadable identification separate for review.

Separate installed pumps from requested parts

List the pump configuration in one field and the requested part or kit code in another. This avoids confusing the number of installed pumps with the number of kits required. State the quantity for each requested item explicitly. If the purpose is planned maintenance, explain the scope of that work instead of asking for an undefined complete set of spares.

Flag the records that need help

Some assets may have a known Air Kit and Wet Kit; others may only have a nameplate photograph. Both are useful starting points when labeled clearly. Add known modifications and earlier repairs. DFIN can review the available references and identify which relationships need further confirmation before quotation.

Keep the confirmed list for future use

Once the quotation is reviewed, retain the pump-to-part references, confirmed quantities and service notes with your asset records. Update them when the equipment or configuration changes. This makes repeat enquiries easier to understand while preserving the need to check revisions and actual service requirements. Send DFIN the latest list when requesting availability and supply options.
